Top Smartphones For 2015

The Top Smartphones For 2015

Top Smartphones For 2015
Latest Smartphone News

Sometimes rumors can be powerful.  Other times they can be damaging.  The key is to know what type of rumors are worth your time and those that are not worthy.

A rumor about someone else is typically spiteful, hurtful and don't do much to help the individual.

But a rumor that is about a service or thing, especially about improvements and upgrades, can be a good thing.

The Apple vs Android Battle Is About To Heat Up

For example, Apple is rumored to be about to release a new iPhone.  That much is probably true.  And the rumor about it being a major upgrade like an iPhone 7, is generally positive.  It doesn't hurt the company or their fans, if the rumor proves to be false.

So what does that mean for you, the consumer, looking to get a new iPhone?

It means that you will have some outstanding new technology available soon.  Some of the reviews about the upgrades claim that the camera will have some major improvements, as well as a new iOS.  Another key feature that keeps coming up is that Apple may be getting rid of the Home button and they would use some integration technology for the fingerprint touch and interactive screen to replace the home button.

Another example of technology rumors that are harmless is the rumor that Samsung will be releasing updates on the Galaxy S and Note series.  You can read those details here: The Top Smartphones For 2015

Why do these rumors matter while others don't?

Because they help create a buzz about the brands, they pique consumer interest and generate momentum for their eventual releases.

Is The iPhone 7 Almost Here?

When does it make sense to believe rumors?  We all know that rumors are interesting, enticing and most of all, dangerous.

Why are they dangerous?

For one, they're easy to spread.  Like a virus that's spread by air, it can move from one host to another easily.

Another reason they can be dangerous is that they don't have any accountability. A person can spread a rumor and defer upward or laterally to another person that they heard it from.

They can make the claim that they "heard it" from someone else.  The ubiquitous some one else.

Another reason that rumors are dangerous is that they can heighten expectations beyond reality. And heightened expectations can hurt everyone.

From the person who now has the burden of expectations, to the purpose projecting those expectations to eventually be let down, they end up damaging both parties.

Sometimes however, rumors can be harmless and interesting.

Take for instance, the rumor that Apple will be releasing a new iPhone soon.  Whether it's called the iPhone 6s or iPhone 7 is to be seen, but what we do know is that it will released sometime in the fall of 2015.

Reported by MacWorld UK and others, the rumor is building momentum that Apple is about to do something interesting.  What exactly is still to be seen, but something is coming, that much is certain.

You check out the MacWorld report at the blog 10 Best Smartphones, just click here.

This is one time where rumors are harmless, unless your Apple's competitors.

To Get The Best Is Worth The Price

Spending Less Now Will Cost You More Later

Deciding between something great and a cheap price can be the difference in life-long quality and something temporary.

We know this point intuitively, yet we choose to spend less on our electronics and suffer for not buying the best new smartphones.

We don't adopt a dog when its a puppy to trade it off.

Kittens are great but we don't keep them for a year and then upgrade.

Electronics may become outdated quickly, but if you know how to find one of quality, you can have something for a long, long time.
Top Smartphone

When selecting your next phone, the most important thing to consider is the quality of the device and the reputation of the manufacturer.

For example, there may be a great phone out there right now from an unknown maker.  And they may offer great deals through a service provider like Cricket.

But, why would you purchase a cheap phone through a small service provider just to save money in the short term?

In a year you'll be purchasing another phone, upgrading your data plan, or worse - both!

And that will cost more money!

The way to avoid paying less upfront, but more in the long-term, is by researching the top smartphones through established, reputable manufacturers.

Apple and Samsung are two industry giants for a reason.

They have a standard of excellence developed over years.

And right now, their entries into the smartphone market are incredibly advanced and impressibly priced.

At 10 Best Smartphones, they write that the iPhone 6 is the best smartphone for business productivity and they reward the Galaxy S6 with the award for the best smartphone 2015.

It's a matter of opinion what you think is the best, but when looking to save some money, right now for FREE by signing up your data plan with Sprint.

That's right!  The Samsung Galaxy S6 is free when you sign up your data plan with Sprint...

Between Champions And Runner-ups Are Fractions

What Separates The Great From The Really Good?

The difference between being the best and runner-up is often decided in fractions.

In sports, think about the playoffs.

Usually in sports what separates the champion from the runner-up is often decided on metrics that are miniscule.  One bad pass that leads to a point, run, or touchdown.

NEW Samsung Galaxy S6 FREE with Sprint's $80 Unlimited Plus Plan - UNLIMITED TALK AND TEXT with 24-month lease! (Valid thru 6/11/15)

When looking at the best in something subjective, the difference between first and second is merely in the eye-of-the-beholder.

Think about a pageant.  Or art competition.

There are obvious skills, you know them once you see them.

And imposters are quickly exposed.

With all of the top smartphones on the market, it's no different.

What separates the iPhone 6 from the Samsung Galaxy S6 is in one of choice.

Hand's down, they're the best smartphones you can find right now.

But the best smartphone on the market?  Depends on your preferences.

Android vs. iOS, Apple vs. Samsung. It just depends on your taste.

The Best Smartphone 2015 - Is Popularity Objective And Fixed, or Subjective?

The Award For Best Smartphone 2015

What makes something popular?

Is it the look or the design?  The Apple iPhone 6 is one great smartphone built on superior design and quality.

But to define what is popular we need to understand what is the foundation of popularity.

Is there something timeless, or does popularity, like attractiveness, fade with the times?

Is popularity fixed, or is it something that evolves over time?

Attractiveness, functionality, charisma - these are traits to describe what's popular - but doesn't define popularity.

One way to determine popularity is to take a stand and watch with fascination the conversations that take place.

The Top Smartphone Is The iPhone 6 But Does It Win For Best Smartphone 2015?

Sometimes the greatest thing we can do is to award a winner.

It makes it decisive, and makes it interesting.

Rare is the winner without subjectivity.  While the final outcome, the final game, set, match may be undisputed, the process to get there is open to interpretation.

That's the power of comparison.

It's the "what-if" that exists in all of us.

It's what makes the outcomes of sports so interesting - "what-if" team "A" played against team "D".  Then perhaps they may, or may not, have become champions.

It's the subjectivity that makes the "what-if" fun.  And the comparison function of our personalities is also what makes things popular.

There's a new post at 10 Best Smartphones that takes a stand and declares the best smartphone for 2015 in APRIL

It's a battle between the iPhone 6 and the Samsung Galaxy S6. And it's subjective.

You can read it here

What do you think?

Does popularity come from something obvious, or is it subjective?

Disengage From Your Smartphone To Improve Business Productivity

Is Apple The Best Smartphone For Business Productivity, Actually Making You Less Efficient?

As tools, smartphones can act in incredible and convenient ways to assist us.

They make the obvious and routine, amazing. Your smartphone can do things such as make a call or send a text, or receive emails.

There are Apps we can download to help us improve our and make them the best smartphone for business productivity and efficiency.

There are Apps that help monitor our health and track our fitness.

Apps that assist us to connect through social media.

But that's proving to not be such a good thing at times.

The more interconnected we strive to be, the less connected we become.

Disengage And Become More "Human" To Improve Your Business Productivity

Look around you.

People are more engaged with their phones in ways that was long thought the realm of science fiction. ( One article that discusses that is here )

Tweeting their thoughts without the ramifications of interaction.

Liking and sharing on Facebook rather than talking with friends and coworkers.

And a benchmark app like Meerkat will only become a time dump, decreasing your production.

Sending email can be a huge timesaver, but having to write and edit, then walk a paper or report to another office or cubicle takes away the immediate response you get from the reader.

Sometimes disengaging with technology, communicating face-to-face and having a personal interaction is the best way to get a point across.

You can hear the inflection in the voice, see the body language, make eye-contact, which is known to build trust and take down defenses.

Regardless of what smartphone you choose to use, from Apple to Samsung, HTC and more, it is just a tool for you to use.

While choosing what is the best smartphone for business productivity to help you, sometimes you need to remember that it's only a tool to be used at the right time and place.

Remember to make eye contact, engage with someone else, sometimes it's the best thing to do to improve your business productivity.

Productivity Dips And Improving Efficiency

Productivity And Efficiency Require Different Energy Systems

Productivity isn't an infinite process.  Business productivity isn't set to the hours of work, it isn't a 9 to 5 position.

There are varying levels of productivity, just like you have varying levels of energy.

If today is one of low-levels, you know that the tanks need to be refueled, the storage tanks are drained.

The ship left port, the oil is running low and engines are at half-steam.

In other words, it's a day of floating along.

But that doesn't mean that nothing is going to get done.

If you need to speed up your process, or refuel your energy, there's great news.

Sometimes the best way to recharge our energy is to call it a day, move on, and get some rest.   Other times its best to change tactics or outlook.

Another way is to improve on the systems and ways you accomplish tasks, in other words, improving the tools and technologies that assist you.

If you need to improve your productivity and increase your efficiency, getting a tool for your business is critical.

Right now Sprint is offering a deal that is an 11 on a scale of 1-10.  It's got the WOW factor that not only catches your attention, it also recharges you and gets you motivated.

The Genius Of Samsung Copying The iPhone Design

Genius Is As Genius Does

Have you ever seen a new car and wondered, "Gee, I've seen that model before".  Maybe its the shape of the sedan, or the aerodynamic lines.

Often when someone creates something outstanding, it fosters a sense of jealousy and others try to copy it to achieve the same success.

Other times, copying a master can seem cheap at worst and really smart at best.

There are two types of genius.

The first is to be truly innovative and original.  The other is to master what has already been created. Neither types can truly exist in a vacuum of one another, so in essence, genius borrows from one and makes it wholly their own - or makes it so superior that people forget the original.

The Samsung Galaxy S6: A Copy Of The Best Smartphone For Business

On April 10, 2015 Samsung will release their innovative Galaxy S6.  As the newest upgrade of the flagship Galaxy line, the Galaxy S6 mirrors one of the best smartphones released, the iconic iPhone 6.    In previous reviews, the iPhone 6 has been named the best smartphone for business productivity and by copying it, Samsung is hoping to overtake the master.

And imitation really is the truest form of flattery, and with the Galaxy S6, Samsung has taken the imitation game to a whole new level.

With impervious Gorilla Glass and a smooth metallic body, the Galaxy S6 so much resembles the iPhone 6 that it even has ports and speaker holes in the same exact place as the iPhone 6.  Also a screen size of 5.1" inches, the Galaxy S6 physically resembles their competitor's phone.

But the appearance is really the only comparison.  (You can read a more complete review HERE)

With the Galaxy S6, Samsung has improved on all the interior hardware and operating system.  The Android 5.0 Lollipop, pared with the 64-bit Octa-Core processor, this may be the fastest smartphone out there.

But the best aspect of the Samsung Galaxy S6 is that they have allowed Sprint to offer the incredible new phone for FREE.  Yes, that's right, you can get the new Galaxy S6 for FREE if you sign up for a standard data plan with Sprint.

Here's How The Band Devo Can Help Improve Your Business Productivity

How Devo Can Improve Your Business Productivity With Apple's iPhone: The Best Smartphone For Business

Anyone remember the band Devo?  Led by the incredibly talented Mark Mothersbaugh, Devo fused art with their pop melodies to satirize consumerism of the early, mid and late 80's.

The song they were best known for was "Whip It" and the video for the song revealed the band to be uniformly dressed with yellow jump suits and red, collapsible helmets.  It got them band from MTV, which at the time, was a death sentence for pop radio.

Because of that decision, their most important song was never heard on the radio, or seen on MTV. It had the effect of black-balling the band, who after two more albums disbanded. They then created a movie soundtrack company and have done quite well.

But their most important song was "Freedom of Choice." In it, Devo rails against the greed and consumerism in a way that, inadvertently, also explains how to be increase productivity for your business.

The song reflects on Aesop's fable about "the dog and his reflection".  In it, there's a dog with a bone in his mouth walking over a bridge.  The dog see's his reflection in the water, and thinking it another dog with a bone in its mouth, drops his bone to reach for the others. In doing, he drops his bone in the water and loses it.

The song twists the plot to make it a little more melodic. "In ancient Rome, there was a poem, about a dog wit two bones, he licked the one, he licked the other, he turned in circles 'til he dropped dead."

So how does that apply to your business productivity?

The chorus of the song is "Freedom of choice is what you got, freedom from choice is what you want."  And that's true of employees, clients and customers.

Your employees and clients want you to help decide for them.

They want freedom from choice.

How Freedom From Choice Helps Productivity

They like the illusion of free choice, but that process creates doubt and instills fear.  Doubt and fear stall productivity and the end result is that it makes things less efficient.

If you're a mobile company, you need to consider how your communication department simplifies things for your employees. To improve your productivity, you need the best smartphone for business to integrate with all your devices easily.

If you need a new smartphone, one that helps eliminate distractions and simplifies your decision making, you need to purchase one through Sprint.

Is your business on cruise control?

Can you afford for it to be?

There was a TV news report recently about cars and their innovations that have moved far beyond just the cruise control features.  This was first installed in the long extinct US automobile company AMC, who installed the feature in their cars in the '60's.

Fast forward to now and Tesla has created, and is testing a self-driving car.  They claim that it will be a software update on their Tesla S models and will allow one that works on "auto-pilot" much like the cruise control feature.  It will sense and read traffic signs, other cars, curves in the road and other features.

Obviously this opens up a whole slew of questions.  Questions about safety, cost, legality, desirability and others.

So how does this apply to you and your business?

If you were able to put your business on auto-pilot, would you?  And would that be a good thing?

Why The Bottom Line Guarantees A Race To The Bottom

Why The Bottom Line Dominates The Discussion, And Why That Equals A Race To The Bottom

In every boardroom and within every negotiation, especially one that has the data from an analysis behind it, will include the idea of the “bottom line."  Industries like electronics, automotive and restaurants all like to consider the bottom line.

Even the cell phone industry is focused on the bottom line, and it may hamper you in your search for ranking the best smartphone for business or work.

Like most companies, they believe that by cutting expenses they’re expanding their margins.

But what if the idea of lowering expenses was the equivalent of lowering the floor of your house to say that you’re house is getting taller?

Is it a matter of perception leading to reality?

Sure, trimming the fat from expenses is important.  But when it becomes a mantra for your industry, you’re racing with the others to the bottom.

Lower quality, higher prices, and lower customer confidence in you and your product is the result.  You end up losing more customers, fewer clients, and lower sales in the long run.

Instead perhaps, focus on leading your clients from the front to build a product, a brand, that is one that people will clamor for, and finding a best smartphone for business is no different.

It’s the build a better mousetrap idea.

And Apple is the absolute king of the castle with that concept.

Why Apple Ranks As Best Smartphone For Business With Their iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus

As a company, Apple has always focused on building great devices that have outstanding user experience.  They focuses on building a better mousetrap knowing that people will come running to their door as a result.

Get the iPhone 6 Plus from Straight Talk

Sure they’re focused on their margins and keeping expenditures low.  But they don’t sacrifice quality, and by default brand loyalty, to the altar of the bottom line.

While others like Samsung, HTC and more have focused on challenging Apple’s market dominance, they’ve focused on their bottom lines in deciding what to offer and manufacture.  Apple focuses on the brand and the quality they know their fans expect.  That’s one major reason they dominate the marketplace and have a valuation bordering close to the $1 Trillion mark.

By focusing on the bottom line, you’re guaranteeing a race to the bottom.  When lowering costs is your priority, you’re focus is cutting back, being conservative in your thinking.

But the growth of your business and your brand requires forward thinking and proactive design.

As the best smartphone for business, the iPhone 6 is the perfect symbol of how Apple takes a forward thinking approach.  The proof is in their brand loyalty and company valuation versus their competitors.

How Getting Informed Will Help You Save

Knowledge Is Power

Any time we have some important decisions to make, there are two ways we act.  The first is to make an immediate, intuitive decision, but sometimes these can be rash and even dangerous.

Think about the concept of fight or flight.

If someone is threatening you with a weapon, and they’re willing to let you leave unharmed, acting in rage and attacking them would be foolhardy and dangerous.

The other type of decision making tactic is to be the one “armed”, but armed with information and the analysis of that information.  It’s a process of preparation, of “mental imagery” or visualizing the desired outcome based upon the facts at hand. World class athletes use this tactic.  Based upon years of training and physical preparation, as well as multiple competitions, they have a very good idea of their desired outcomes and create a mental image of what that would be like to experience.

The next step they take is to think about that mental image and work it backward to where they are at currently to give them a plan of how to achieve their successes.

Power Of Persuasion And Selling Top Smartphones With Sprint

What is powerful is the most persuasive element in the world? Not force, not encouragement, but showing the individual or group what is in it for them.

And when you're trying to sell something, you need to consider that fact.  You can tell people all they need to know about a phone, for example, and still not make a sale.

Shop Sprint Phones and Plans Now!

Persuasion is demonstrating that you have the best interest of the person, or persons, you're trying to make act.

Think about it for a moment.  The most important advertisements have testimonials illustrating how the individual is benefiting from their new purchase.  Their lives are better, they're happier and shown to be enjoying even the average, humdrum everyday things.

Championship teams buy into what the coach is trying to teach them, not by fear but by the team being able to understand what is in it for them.

We go to the doctor because we know it's important. We all know that as a profession, being doctor is stressful and financially rewarded.  So why do we go to them? Because of what's in it for us.

Buying a luxury item like a new car or phone is no different.  Answer what's in it for the buyer and you should see your power of persuasion increase.

If you want to save money on any of the top smartphones, from Apple to Samsung and HTC, you can get some incredible deals from a service provider like Sprint.

There are some incredible new phones that just came on the market.  Most are going at premier prices, so finding ways to save on the top smartphones can be difficult. How Do You Choose Between The Best Phones Of 2014?

How do you choose what's the best smartphone for you?  How do you choose between the best phones of 2014?

It's not enough to make the claim of being the best at something.  Sometimes the proof is easily objectified. Just like a 100 yard dash, the fastest runner wins.

Other times, the best is something more subjective.  I don't like seafood, but to many, Sushi is the best thing in the world.  The idea of eating fish, much less RAW fish is gross to me.  That doesn't make it wrong, it's just a matter of taste.

And to decide between all the best phones of 2014 is not something that's cut-and-dried easy to decide.

For some, all they want is to follow the crowd.  They prefer others to make the decision for them, meaning they look for the most popular, the highest sales to determine the best smartphones on the market. These are the people who go to the most crowded restaurants, watch the most popular movies, and are happy following the herd.

Others choose to be iconoclastic.  They choose their own paths in life, choosing to do what others wouldn't even think about. For these people, they may not even consider a smartphone unless out of necessity. To say these types are independent is simplifying the term.

Another factor that determines the rankings for the best phones of 2014 would be what type of service provider and data plan options.  Some may want the peace-of-mind to have a contract for a set amount of data and a set price per month.  This comfort can be freeing for them.

Others prefer to have their phone unlocked, ones that allow for the freedom to increase or decrease data usage as needed.  This is a great option for anyone who may not have credit, would like a pay-as-you-go data plan, or for those iconoclasts that are always moving to their own drums.

Here's How To Save Money On Your Next Mobile Phone

Don’t Be A Sucker, Here’s Ways To Save On Your Next Mobile Phone

P.T. Barnum famously claimed that there was a sucker born every minute.  Like a carnival barker, P.T. Barnum’s took his career path and modernized the idea of marketing and sales by the use of exaggeration.  Some places claim to have the best deals, lowest prices, and newest phones.

There are a number of high-quality technical gadgets that people can invest their time and money. People like P.T. Barnum knew that in order to part people from their money, you had to sell with some pizzazz. The great lines of new mobile phones on the market right now fall into this category. In addition to increased convenience and accessibility, these tools can make it far easier to handle major and recurring responsibilities. For these reasons, you should secure the best smart phone that your budget will allow.

In order to understand the full spectrum of benefits that these devices offer, you have to focus on a particular style and type. For instance, there are currently a number of mobile phones that are large enough to mimic the ease, convenience and functionality of tablets. These are ideal for small business owners who want to take their commercial operations with them.

It can’t be stated enough that you need to know what you’re looking for with your new mobile phone, or risk being a sucker. Too many people are quick to make a buck on an unsuspecting customer, and you’ll fall prey to those if you don’t do a little research ahead of shopping. You need to know what you’re looking for, or you’ll end up a sucker.  Don’t be a sucker.

That means you need to do some research.  You want to know what are the primary strengths and weaknesses of the best new smartphones.  Another thing you want to know ahead of time is whether your phone is state-of-the-art or will it be replaced soon?  Are there any future phones coming out that will make the current model cheaper or obsolete?

Knowing these points will help you make the most informed decision and in the end, knowing more will help you find the deal you want.

For example, did you know that most mobile service providers like Verizon, AT&T and Sprint offer trade-in credit for your older phone? You can trade in your older model and use the money they offer for a new phone and a new contract.
Another great way to save is to trade-in your existing model with an online retailer like Amazon.  Amazon has a trade-in program to give you credit to purchase a newer phone from them.  This will help you get some credits to save even more money than what you may find in the online store.
Pay more now but save over time. Boost Mobile and Sprint allow you to purchase a pay-as-you-go program to save you money on the data plan for your phone.  You’ll have to cough up a little more at the point of purchase while saving on your data payments over the length of time you own your phone.

Don’t get suckered.  Arm yourself with information, and you’ll be sure to find a great deal on a new mobile phone.  Know how to save, find ways to cut costs by trading in your old phone and get the service plan you need, and you should be able to get a great phone at an awesome price.

Is It Time To Slow Down About The Best Smartphone On The Market?

It seems that there is always something new on the horizon.  New cars, new rules on dieting, new clothes and new ways to do the same thing we've done before.  We debate the best smartphone on the market, the best smartphone camera, and rank the best new smartphones.

But what we haven't considered is that there are times that change isn't a good thing.  I've learned that change may be the only constant, but that doesn't mean I need to participate in it.

And with the constant change, that means there are some things that shouldn't change.  Or if they must change, maybe it's time to consider standing by the side of the road as all the racing cars go past.

In a recent article in The Guardian of London, Stuart Heritage opines about the rise of more and more technology and proposes that perhaps, standing neutral may be a better idea.  The article can be found here and if you're interested in technology at all, it's an interesting read for sure.

Tomorrow there will be some announcement of something innovative and new.  But is it really?  And how important is it that we pay attention to it?

Can we agree that we may disagree on the best smartphone on the market, that we may have differing opinions of what is the best smartphone camera and that in the end, it's about opinion?

Opinion may be centered on fact and reason, or it may be volatile like emotion. Opinions may change, and that's a good thing.  And that may be the only type of change that is 100% positive.
